How we handle corrections
Accuracy is central to our work. When a reader reports a possible error, an editor checks the original sources and, if a correction is needed, updates the page promptly. Material corrections are made transparently, and we may contact you if we need further details. We cannot change content simply because a reader disagrees with a view, but we are always glad to consider well-sourced alternative perspectives for future updates.
Response times
We aim to reply to most messages within two to three business days. Correction requests are usually reviewed within five business days, depending on how much research is needed. Privacy requests are answered within the time limits set by applicable data protection law, normally within one month. We receive a large volume of mail, so we may not be able to reply individually to every suggestion, but every message is read by a member of the editorial team.
Important notice before you write
For your protection, please keep the following in mind:
- Never send sensitive information. Do not include passwords, one-time codes, bank or card details, identity documents or account statements in your message. We will never ask for them.
- We never ask for money. RTIBK does not charge readers for advice, request transfers or offer investment opportunities by email, messaging app, social media or phone.
- Beware of impersonators. If someone claims to represent RTIBK and asks you for money, personal financial information or access to your accounts, it is a scam. Stop communicating with them and report it to your local authorities.

Frequently asked questions
Can you review my portfolio or recommend an investment?
No. RTIBK is an educational publication, not an investment adviser, and we are not permitted or equipped to give personal recommendations. We can, however, point you to articles that explain the concepts behind your question. For advice tailored to your circumstances, speak to a qualified adviser who is authorised by the financial regulator in your country, and check their status on the regulator's official register before sharing any information.
Can I open an account or invest through RTIBK?
No. We do not offer accounts, custody, trading, deposits or any other financial product, and we never will. Any website, email, message or caller offering you an "RTIBK account", a portfolio managed by us or a guaranteed return is not connected to us.
I found an error in an article. What happens next?
Choose "Correction request" in the form and tell us the page, the passage and, where possible, a source for the correct information. An editor will review it against primary sources. If a correction is needed, we update the article and, for material changes, add a note explaining what was changed and when.
Can I republish or quote your content?
Short quotations with a clear credit and a link to the original page are welcome. For anything more substantial, including translations or reproduction in a newsletter, course or book, please ask first using the "Partnerships & advertising" topic. Our Terms & Conditions set out the details.
Do you accept guest posts or sponsored articles?
We do not publish paid editorial content or sponsored articles presented as independent analysis. Any advertising that appears on the site is clearly labelled and kept separate from our editorial coverage. We occasionally consider expert contributions on educational topics; if you would like to propose one, outline the subject, your relevant experience and any potential conflicts of interest.
How do I exercise my data protection rights?
